maybe i've been living for this cyber soul

I'm a walking blob from eating too much these past two nights of passover. So dirty hair, no makeup & baggy sweatshirts it is. The rain has finally ceased and I'm just praying for some sun and warmer weather so I can actually wear the denim shorts I'm wearing in the photos outside. I'm in need of some vitamin d but is it weird that ever since I dyed my hair black I've been kinda liking my paleness? Maybe I won't be a crisp this summer. It's so hard when you live on the beach though. Anyway we just signed our first apparel designer at worked and we're super stoked. Nothing wrong with a little change and branching out from strictly accessories desginers. Still off from work waiting for a massive order I just placed with urban outfitters full of tee shirts. What a thrill. Oh...wearing a men's h&m sweater and vintage levi cutoffs in the pics.

tell me when you hear my silence

It's a horrible rainy day in the city & extremely happy that the first sedar is at my house today which means I can be in sweats and a hoodie all day. Oh if you don't know what a sedar is it just means it's the first night of Passover, just another word for us to over indulge in food. Yum. But anyway was looking through some of my saved pics & these two really are some of my faves. I can't even begin to describe how elated I am with the fact that the joggers trend (aka sweats) is around. I want to be dressed like these two pics everyday. I've been living in my black pair whether to work with just a sweater or going to a bar with the girls paired with a tee, leather jacket and my favorite clog ankle boots. Which reminds me that I need a summer version of clogs. I'm just terrified of walking around in backless shoes. Backless + uncordinated is not such a great combo. But I adore these.
Hope you had a good wknd & if you celebrate passover like me...happy passover.

nowhere nowhere should know where

Spent the day in the city with my mom which mostly consisted of me watching her get her hair colored while cute boys kept walking by me leaving me to be stuck in my head chanting "please be straight" over & over again. Hey there's nothing wrong with a little bit of looking. ;) Thought I'd change up the scenery with some outside pics. Nothing special but was in the mood. It's cold today (such a tease with the 70 degree weather last wknd) so I stuck with my favorite gap sweater that I'm postive was wrongly placed in the women's section, topshop leggings and my combat boots.

I'm officially...kinda...on a spring break even though I don't go to school. Not complaining just excited for passover. I could live on matzah.
xx happy wknd

I've never been afraid of any deviation

Definite lack of blogging on part. Unfortunately I was struck some hideous bug over the wknd which left me severely nauseous and you know what usually leads to. However I am feeling quite better now & probably re-ate the weight I lost by not eating for two days in one sitting alone. Record to be proud of...erm. So just a quick post as I'm still awfully tired. Thought I'd show off one of my thrifting finds from the other week. Of course when I thrift, I go straight to the men's section. Came out with this uber comfy, ginormous sweater which I wore to work today so I was super cuddly. I really wonder if I'll ever get out of my oversized phase. Nah didn't think so.

Kinda seeing the ribbed action of the sweater. Plus my necklace which is basically just a charm I had lying around put on to a ball chain...which I had lying around.

And I really just wanted to show off my soda pop bracelet that took me forever to make. I'm usually quick with my own little diy projects but that bracelet took me forever...including slicing my middle finger open while rummaging all the cans in the recycling. I wouldn't even know where to begin with a tutorial as I copied someone else's and couldn't even understand it when it was written and simply followed the pictures instead. I used about 20 soda pop tops and two leather cords and wove them together. Instead of trying the ends but the cords I added two medium sized safety pins as closures. It's a new addition to my chain-filled wrist.

He smiled so I got up and asked for his name

I am one dumb new yorker for not taking advantage of the beautiful weather we've been having. Instead I opted for what else...shopping. But nah don't regret it; got some goodies. Got a sweet pair of harem-ish pants from Urban Outfitters (not my favorite place...too boho for me) that are super baggy but tapered at the ankles. Plus seriously reduced from 60 to 10 bucks. Also scored a pair of studded flats from Steve Madden that are absolutely necessary for my wardrobe especially with this weather. And lastly got a mini studded bucket bag from H&M and a faux biker jacket. Mind you, all the jackets in the store were reduced 15 bucks. Yup, awesome! Can you tell there was a theme going with my shopping? I'm so transparent.

Well hello red leather! Nice to meet you. Stewy at another The Runaways premiere in Austin.

You should all know by now that The Runaways opened today but of course isn't playing in my theater. I'll have to wait till April 9th unless I feel like trecking it somewhere. Mother f....

what am I supposed to do when the best part of me was always you

Last night my biff marley invited me to join her to see The Script play a private show at a bar in Times Square. We both only knew one song from the band but hey drinking and good music..no problem there. We had dinner and plenty of wine beforehand so by the time we made our way to the bar we were giggly and enjoying the irish folk (the band is apparently big in Ireland). It was definitely laid back and just something different for us to do on a random tues night. The music was very good and not to mention the band was hot...plus I'm a sucker for any type of accent. Hello Irish! After the show we just went bananas in times square. You would think I'm such a tourist from the photos but nope nyc bred.
exhibit a: tourist. hah
the biff with her green flower that we got at the end of the show =)
hello glazed eyes.

Exhibit a=b: tourist. I just wore whatever I was in from work so super casual. My wildffox skeleton sweater, f21 black jeans & Steve Madden combat boots, leather jacket & balenciaga bag.
Such a fun night that is absolutely necessary for the working girls.

your dead end dreams don't make you smile

Yesterday nyc had a massive storm and knocked out the power. Yup I had no power from 4pm yesterday till 12:30pm today. I swear I almost had a nervous breakdown. There was only so much wax from the burning candles I can play with to keep my mind occupied. Cell was dead, laptop dead. Not a fun saturday night. Pretty much stayed in bed with a candle in one hand and my Bel Ami book in the other. Safe? Who cares. It was my only source of some damn entertainment. So yup did nothing this lovely wknd. However did see Remember Me friday. Granted the script was lacking in a strong plotline & it definitely tried to bring on the shock value (which was unnecessary in my opinion) but rp's performance was great and damn fine to look at. It's nice to see him on the big screen not as ec (which I don't find all that attractive anyway). But he really is a great actor & hopefully the box office numbers don't limit his career solely to twilight.

Oh and thought I'd show some badass joan jett pics since I've been listening to her old school hits on repeat lately. Cool article in the post today about her. "Women aren't allowed to own their sexuality. Well, I don't like being told what to do." Amen.
Hope everyone had a better wknd than yours truly.

you're my little dark dynamite you know

Spent the other day in my room doing a diy. I've been loving the draped skirt look lately especially the ones seen by Burberry (I went to the store in soho the other day and was literally drooling over it). Saw from some other blogs a diy version of the skirt and gave it a shot. I had some soft stretchy black fabric and used that. Granted it took me a while to complete since I don't know how to thread a sewing machine and did it all by hand. I somewhat prefer to do by hand; it's soothing when I'm not pricking my finger tips. Well this is the result.

It looks a bit drapier (word?) in person.

Blogger inspiration from vanillascented.

Stewy wearing the skirt at the Burberry Prorsum show in London.

And just had to add a shot from last night's The Runaways premiere. Totally stoked for this film. How can you not love badass rock n roll chicks? DFan looked stunning in Valentino & Stewy rocked hot pink from Doo Ri. I, like stew, am not usually one for wearing such strong colors but am really amazed at how great she looks and took the risk with the bubblegum.
Happy wknd. Remember Me today!!! Go see it!!

i can see the secrets you don't show

What I wore to work yesterday. I bought these awesome baggy thin denim pants with an elastic wasitband and elastic at the ankles from h&m. Not really harem pants since they aren't a drop crotch. But they are uber comfortable and I loved them paired with my oversized gap black sweater. My mum said they looked like my grandma's pants. Hello, grandma had style. Wore the outfit with black ballet flats since it was another beautiful day in the city. An overall baggy outfit, what's not to love.

And YES!!! Got my new raybans today for an amazing price after searching every glasses store in manhattan & being told that no one carries them. They originally had clear lenses & couldn't be changed but today I got the call from a lovely girl that they are now with black lenses. If you can't tell from the pics, they are clear frames (except the top).
Hopefully the nyc weather keeps up this way. I was sent tickets to be in the audience for regis&kelly tomorrow. But ehh..sleep or be up at the crack of dawn? Hmmm. If rp was there...you know that's not even a question. ;)

Always forgive your enemies; nothing annoys them so much

The show isn't even over but I've been drooling over some of the dresses tonight that I felt an urge to post. Here's some of my top faves for Oscars 2010.I love that Cameron stuck to gold rather than vavavoom red. She looks stunning & her hair is totally new for her. Love.
I think it's impossible for Pene to get it wrong. This is how a nominee dresses.
Ok why are you here? But I'll give her credit for her phenom dress. Seriously the detail is beautiful. I still can't get over how much better she looks with uber dark hair.
Oh and like this is a surprise. Stewy is flawless in this Monique Lhuillier. And this is how a non-nominee dresses. (Get the memo JLo.) Yeah I know she can use some work on her posture but seriously girl is working this dress. And her hair! Yay finally a normal length for her to get a decent 'do out of it.
Hope everyone had a great wknd. Dyed my hair darker again (admit: slowly but surely becoming a hair dye adict) and saw Alice In Wonderland. My gosh what I would do to spend a day in Tim Burton's head. Definitely don't understand how it got a PG rating but ugh loved it! And come on Johnny Depp is brilliantly spooky. He actually frightened me in some of the scenes. Also did some shopping this wknd & spent plenty of time soaking up the 50 degree plus weather in nyc! Will post pics of some stuff soon. Back to the oscars.

driven by the strangle of vein showing no mercy i'd do it again

Got my new Wildfox Skeleton Oversized Sweatshirt in the mail last night from karmaloop and I am in love! Every other site was all pre order so I'm thrilled I found karmaloop bc I ordered it Monday night and it came super fast. I've been craving this sweatshirt for a while, since we all know I'm a fan of weird (hello my skeleton gloves!) and now having it just reiterates my love for Wildfox. Mum said it looked like I was in a halloween costume..perfect! Plus got my package from f21 which included my Wangy-like sunglasses in the pics. As well as my new favorite stretchy rhinestone bangle and huge gold ring (which you can't really see). Also plan on getting these bad boys to add to my growing rayban collection. I love my wayfarers.
Happy wknd! Fall 2010 Press Preview is over! Time to chill out.

remember me

Last night I had the pleasure of being a part of the Remember Me premiere. Hello Robert Pattinson. Obviously all of you know by now my *little* love affair with the man. Ok total lie...HUGE love affair. It took place at the Paris Theater which luckily for me is around the block from the office. And even better luck that I have the two coolest bosses that knew how important this was for me and let me leave work. Mind you, in the middle of Press Preview. Seriously I bounced just as InStyle walked in the door. It was bitter cold and I was alone since this totally was not planned (I had thought of just stopping by to see what it would be like early afternoon and a dude that worked there saw me by the theater, called me over and offered me a wristband which allowed me to be in a small group of people that would hopefully meet rp). But made some twitter friends so the time seemed to go by faster. But my small group definitely didn't stay that way when all the people in the streets saw the commotion. I went home with the worst headache but totally worth it bc got great video of rp coming over to me and signing my Bel-Ami book (I didn't have anything on me compared to what most people had). Could have stayed to actually see a screening but I was so overwhelmed from the experience, I'll wait till next fri.

Screencaps from my vid. I melt.

I love the giggles (when he saw my book, seriously you know none of his fans are reading it...but definitely recommend it's pretty good).

Oh yea stewy was there (really tiny in person) rocking some sick Burberry Prorsum Lace Pants. Love that she paired it with a black tee and leather, although she is wearing an inside out tee that has print on the front. Guess home girl didn't bring plain tees to the city. ;)
Overall fun night. A little interesting adventure I did on my own so I'm quite proud of myself. Plus before I went my brudder bbmed me and I quote "make sure to grab condoms you know just in case." Ah my friends know me well.
